Student Success

The AY Jackson Student Success Team helps identify and support struggling students as they strive to meet the challenges of the secondary school curriculum. These teachers also coordinate student support and intervention programs that lead towards more productive, meaningful learning experiences for all students. There are many parts of the Student Success Support at AY Jackson:

  • Academic support for students: These short interventions give students the opportunity to get caught up on missed assignments due to illness or personal issues
  • Credit Recovery: This program allows diligent students who have fallen behind to recover previously unsuccessful credits attempted.
  • Teacher and classroom support: The student success room can be used to help small groups of students complete a unit, a task or projects when more time is needed.
  • Year long support: The student success team will also help students with organizational skills, exam preparation, studying habits, healthy lifestyles, academic honesty, etc.
