The AYJ School Council is a volunteer group of parents, students, teachers and community members. The main role is to provide a means of direct communication between the parents, the local community and the school. The school council also provides parents with a wider insight into major policy issues in education. Through the school council, parents also assist with certain non-core or social activities at the school.
The School Council co-chairs for 2012-2013 are Marjorie Snider and April Boomer.
All parents are welcome to attend meetings of the school council which are held five times a year at 6:30 PM in the school library. The dates for the 2012-13 school year are: September 24, November 26, February 25, April 29 and May 27.
